Where in the World is Carmen Sandiago?
Have you ever had one of those moments of awe? This moment when you actually realize where you are and are aware of your present? I had this strange moment when I was on the ferry to Manly and right in front of me was the Opera House. I hadn't actually been by the Opera House since the first weeks I moved to Sydney and even working not even 10 minutes away from it, I still managed to somehow avoid not seeing it everyday, it's actually a sin.

I've been going on these bush walks and coastal walks more often. I'm obsessed with walking and I don't go to the gym so this really is my best compromise. In the two months I've been here, I've done:
- Balmoral Beach to Chowder Bay to Taronga Walking Trek
- Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach Coastal Walk
- Fairfax Walk and parts of the North Head Walk in Manly
- Centennial Park
There's something unspoken for about the bush walks and coastal walks that take you through the edges of Australia and for the first time you are able to see your place in the world - at the corners of the Australian continent overlooking this perfectly aquamarine sea. It's a humbling position to be in and at the same time it's the happiest most serene moment you can come upon until you get angry at your shitty digital camera for not being able to capture the picturesque scenes properly.
Just as I'm beginning to find my bearings in the world during these walks, I also manage to solidify a love for Sydney and establish more meaningful connections with people along these different journeys. I create memories and am humbled by my discoveries but evermore grateful for my life.
